Well, Santa doesn’t look too happy either so I guess they’re even!
Caroline S.
I know how you feel. Last year, my daughter was just 4 months old and this year she’s one, she wasn’t quite thrilled to take a picture with Santa. At least she didn’t cry. Here’s my picture: http://sweetestcarolinee.blogspot.com/2011/12/our-little-trip-to-see-santa.html

He is SO cute!!! Girl, I totally understand the whole Santa picture thing. I literally have to do the funky dance to get my kids to smile! LOL. I mean seriously, sitting in an old mans lap probably seems a little scary to kids? LOL http://cantelmofamily.blogspot.com/2011/12/visit-to-santa.html <—-heres our trip to visit Santa. I wish I had pics uploading of the previous years like you do!!
By the way, I have been dying to know how you are feeling
kate
haha. He looks so happy in the first one!

Aww lol, he was so happy about it in the begining! We took Ava last year and it was not good. It turned into a family santa picture… We didn’t take her this year…(I know parent of the year right)

Our 4 year old was happy to sit on Santa’s lap…3 times this year! Our two year old didn’t want anything to do with him, but we finally got a photo of her on his lap…

Kids go through their untrusting stages, don’t they? Soon he’ll be smiling again. And before you know it, you’re picture will be like mine – all grown up and still forced to sit on Santa’s lap! 🙂

I realize the santa thing is not nearly as fun for my almost two year old as it is for me, Call me a demon, but dude is going to want these pictures when he is older. What I’m saying is, I’m doing this for him. There will be no girl who can resist his charms once they know what a dreamy little toddler he was, even while screaming bloody murder. Or maybe it will totally scare them away to see him in mid terrified yell. Even better.

Oh, man! I love these Santa pictures!
When my older son was about 2, I was bribing him to be good with some trusty ol’ McNuggets.
They worked.
Until he sat on Santa’s lap and started screaming, and we got an open-mouthed screaming view of those chewed-up nuggs! Ah, good times!
Here’s this year’s…

My son likes the idea of Santa. He likes pictures and drawings and statues and Santa on TV. Santa in real life? Oh boy… http://idbeesley.blogspot.com/2011/12/santa.html
danyiel Johnson
Yep, going down hill but man you have some great looking Santa’s. They look so genuine.

Awww poor little guy. My daughter was so excited to see Santa, but the day didn’t go as planned. I forgot my camera, so I ended up with a blurry iphone picture. She looked so pretty too. Oh well, she enjoyed her day anyway.

We didn’t take our little one to see Santa (this is his first Christmas) He is scared of anyone with a beard with his stranger anxiety so I knew it would be a disaster if we tried. I can’t stop laughing about the pics you posted- so cute!
Angela
Next year will be different with Santa! Both of my kids had two years where they cried and then they were over it! I have 22 years worth of Santa pictures – right up until my oldest just flat refused to go anymore… even though I always told them that was all I wanted for Christmas! You’ll treasure them all!
Rebecca @ My Girlish Whims
haha so funny! the first picture is adorable! all the others are hilarious lol

My little guy is 8 months old and he wasn’t thrilled with Santa! At first I thought maybe it would be alright, but then he just burst into tears!

My son loves the reindeer but wants nothing to do with Santa, which is fine with me. I had Santa issues as a child, too. 🙂
wildchild
aww poor santa. imagine how many sad little crying children he must have to deal with every day?
Lindsay
I haven’t even tried bringing my son to see Santa since he was born because he doesn’t sit still a lot for pictures. We went to Santa Cruz a few weeks ago for a Thomas the Train event and Santa was there…my son did so well! http://amommyslifestyle.blogspot.com/2011/12/day-out-with-thomas.html
Rachel
We weren’t really planning on seeing Santa this year, but he showed up at a Christmas party where we were. Our daughter’s first Santa experience didn’t go so well. 🙂

Our son at 7 months was so terrified of Santa that we vowed to never again pay an old stranger to hold our child. And we’ve kept our promise.
Julie Jones-Zarvos
She looked the same way the day she was born. Clenched fists, screaming, and shaking. Big brother is wondering what her deal is, and “santa” is wishing it was over……This picture graced our Christmas card this year. Classic.

think about you lots, friend! i hope the pregnancy isn’t too miserable. i know it’s a blessing but your body’s doing a lot of work!! happy holidays/merry christmas!

I was worried about this, but there is this AMAZING photography studio here in utah [im not sure if anyone else has mentioned it] but its called FotoFly. They had an awesome concept where one of the parents dresses up as santa to get your pics, so the kids are not scared and you have unique photos. Plus real santa was on hand, so your kids could still go see him!
Here are our Santa Pics 😀
